A coin can be quoted in a Robinhood stock token instead of ETH: a coin for a founder that trades against TSLA, with the person earning TSLA.
Which tokens
The QuoteRegistry holds a curated, append-only list of allowed quotes, each with its Chainlink USD feed. The launch form lists what is currently allowed, including NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, COIN, MSTR, PLTR and AMD.
Opening price
Every launch opens at a fixed $10,000 fully diluted valuation. The factory reads the quote's fresh USD price from its feed and sets the pool's opening tick so that 1,000,000,000 tokens are worth $10,000 in that quote.
24/7 trading
