Chapter 05
The 90-day cycle
What happens to fees nobody claims: buyback, burn, and a fresh clock.
Unclaimed fees never sit forever.
The rule
For every coin, a 90-day clock starts at launch. If the coin's person is still unbound when the clock runs out and the coin has unclaimed fees, anyone may call sweep: the escrow redeems the person's ledger, buys the coin back through the Router, and burns what it bought. The clock resets to the moment of the sweep.
- A bound person is never swept.
- A sweep happens at most once every 90 days per coin.
- Sweeping is permissionless: the keeper sends due sweeps every 15 minutes, and any wallet can press Sweep now on the coin page.
Why
Fans cannot lock a stranger's money away for good, and a coin whose person never shows up still returns value to its holders. The buyback and burn turns the person's share into scarcity for everyone holding the coin.
Claiming resets nothing
Once bound, the cycle no longer applies: fees accrue until the person claims them, however long that takes.
What the badge says
Every coin card shows where the cycle stands: N days until burn for an unclaimed person, burn due once a sweep can be sent, or claimed, never burns.
